Summary

Rwanga Foundation conducts research and assessments on key themes and current requirements to get more information by analyzing these surveys, as the proper findings allow us to build suitable projects to cover the gaps.

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

·        Work closely with the supervising project coordinator to administer the total number of interviews required for the assessment.

·        Collecting data and information by phone calls or field visits through households’ interviews, focus group discussions, as well as Key Informant interviews (KII), in line with the Rwanga foundation Assessment Methodology.

·        Ensuring transparent, accurate, and timely collection of quantitative and qualitative data and information.

·        Follow Rwanga foundation policies regarding information and data management, and protection of beneficiaries.

·        Ensuring a regular, effective, and comprehensive transmission of information to supervisors.

·        Cross-checking information accuracy with project focal point.

·        Supporting geo-referencing of all surveys conducted in the field as required by the Rwanga Assessment Methodology.

·        Support the project coordinator with any other services relating to the assessment that may arise during implementation.

·        Providing regular reports to the line manager at frequent intervals on the progress of the implementation of the assessment activities and on relevant observations during the mission.

·       Reporting directly to the project coordinator, whenever requested.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

·        High school Diploma or bachelor’s degree or relevant educational background.

·        Previous experience with an NGO and/or institution in the relevant field of work is an advantage.

·        Numeracy skills such as understanding numbers, counting, solving number problems, calculations, adding and subtracting numbers, etc.

·        Fluency in Arabic, good in English.

·        Interest in humanitarian field and administration are preferred.

·        Has experience in using data collection apps.

·        The ability to learn, work under pressure from all levels.

·         Good interpersonal skills.

·        Maintain high level of confidentiality wherever the incumbent comes across sensitive information/data.

·        Open minded, and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.

·        Committed, honest, friendly, and eager to learn.

Experience:

·        two years of professional experience as an Enumerator

·        Experience in data collection through filed visits and phone calls

·        Experience in data collection using Kobo toolbox.

·        Experience in an NGO in beneficiary reception and/or counselling, community feedback, or customer service department would be an advantage.

·        Broad-based experience working closely with IDPs and Refugees.

·        Experience in conducting research and Assessments. \ Experience in community-based protection in a humanitarian context is a strong advantage.
